FAQ's

What are the dates of the Southwest Love Fest Conference?

Southwest Love Fest 2024 will be Friday April 12th through Sunday April 14th.

What is the ticket cost? Do you offer reduced cost tickets or scholarships?

Tickets are $200 per person for a full 3 day conference pass which includes all evening entertainment as well. A Saturday Day pass will become available two weeks before the conference which includes access to the evening Dance Party. Dance Party only tickets will also be available two weeks prior for $5, or $7 at the door. Live virtual tickets are also available, ranging from $50 to $99 depending on the options you select.

SWLF does offer support for making tickets financially accessible. We have a self-selecting sliding scale ticket in registration (look for #slidingscale) and limited lower sliding scale availability upon request. Sliding scale tickets are geared towards financial accessibility for those who need it, particularly folks that are institutionally marginalized (e.g. BIPOC/People of the Global Majority, transgender folx, [dis]abled folks, etc). Email us at southwestlovefest@gmail.com to work out a financially feasible ticket price if you need an alternative sliding scale option other than available

How does the Virtual Live Rebroadcasting work for virtual attendance?
This year we will do a live rebroadcast and record the workshops at Southwest Love Fest. There are tickets for just live virtual access or just recorded replay access or both. Live access virtual attendees can participate at the workshops via a volunteer stationed in the room. The volunteer will make sure to ask your questions and facilitate workshop exercises like break out sessions for virtual attendees. Replay access is unlimited and can be watched at any time.

When does replay access start?
Replays will be made available within two weeks after the conference. When the replays are available, we will email access instructions.

What is your refund policy?
Because we have many non-refundable upfront costs for the conference, we do NOT offer refunds. Tickets may be given or sold to another attendee however. To arrange a ticket transfer, email us the person's name and email address that you'd like to transfer the ticket to.

Can I become an affiliate for Southwest Love Fest?
Yes! We're always looking for reciprocal ways to co-create Southwest Love Fest with you and so affiliate marketing is a way to reciprocate back to you when you spread the word about Southwest Love Fest. Any ticket sold with your affiliate coupon code means the person receives 10% off their ticket price and you receive 25% of their net ticket sale proceeds! You can see more, as well as sign up here.

How will Southwest Love Fest 2024 work?

SWLF 2024 will continue with a 200+ attendee in-person conference, Friday through Sunday as we did in 2023. All three days we will have three tracks of workshops running to give the broadest array of content possible. Discounted tickets to replays will be available to attendees at the conference if you and your friends/polycule miss any workshops you wanted to see! Friday will include some more social or new to non-monogamy 101 level workshops. Friday evening will have a facilitated consent based cuddle party and Saturday evening will have a dance party. Sunday will be more of an integration day with more artistic/creative, reflective and body movement workshops.

Our hotel is the newly renovated Ramada by Wyndham Tucson, located at 1777 W Cushing St, Tucson, Arizona 85745. *The hotel venue unfortunately does not offer discounted tickets to attendees.* However there are plenty rooms and parking available, both regular and handicapped accessible. The workshop rooms are all located on the first floor inside and are located just off of the lobby. There are no stairs at the entrance or anywhere on the first floor. There are 1st floor & 2nd floor hotel rooms with elevators available for the 2nd floor rooms.

We will provide ASL interpretation upon request. Requests must be received 1 month prior to SWLF to allow time for arranging interpreters.

Will there be childcare available?
We provide childcare upon request during daytime workshop hours. Please let us know the age(s) of your child(ren) and if they have any special needs in your email request to us so we can find an appropriate childcare provider. You will need to provide a lunch for your child but we will also provide snacks. Requests must be received 1 month prior to SWLF to allow time for arranging a childcare provider.

Can I earn Continuing Education (CE) credits at SWLF as a therapist?

Yes you can! Tucson Counseling Associates is continuing to sponsor CE credits at SWLF. Stay tuned for which workshops will qualify. Make sure to look for the CE clipboard circulating in CE workshops to give us your contact info or email us afterwards to receive your CE certificate.

What COVID or airborne illness protocol do you follow?

We encourage anyone that is unsure if they've been exposed to any airborne illness (not just Covid-19) to mask to protect others, especially if you're traveling in high exposure environments (e.g. airports) to the conference. We will not be requiring proof of vaccination but strongly recommend any current vaccines for those that are able to be vaccinated to reduce the risk for everyone. We will have masks on hand if anyone needs one as well as a limited supply of Covid-19 rapid tests. Those that are at high risk of airborne illnesses can still attend virtually through the live rebroadcast or replays.

What emotional support or conflict resolution is available at the conference?

We are an inclusive consent based conference and we ask that you fully read our Consent, Inclusivity & Accountability Framework. We believe in empowering individuals and community based support. We also have an Emotional Support team with at least one person on call during conference hours. Emotional Support team members are there to give you a caring ear or find you additional support if needed.

How many people are coming? Who attends?

Last year (2022) we limited the size in person due to Covid, but prior to the pandemic in 2019, we had over 400 people travel from all over the United States and even a few international attendees. A large majority of attendees identify as some sort of non-monogamous relationship style but anyone is welcome. In 2019, 70% of our attendees were under 45 years old. Here are graphs of some of our other 2019 demographics:

They also have a general community chat where all attendees can talk. Look for the event Southwest Love Fest 2023 to join the chat!
